This project seeks to investigate local policies and practices related to physical activity and physical education (PE) using the CDC Division of Adolescent and School Health (DASH) 2010 School Health Profiles data from large urban school districts. We used the Profiles data from the school principal questionnaire and the lead health education teacher questionnaire.
We hope to use the information obtained through analysis of the 2010 Profiles data to identify physical activity and physical education-related policies and practices in urban areas and to inform coordination with practitioners and policymakers for adopting and implementing comprehensive physical activity and evidence-based physical education policy.
