Common Community Measures for Childhood Obesity Prevention (COCOMO) is a program suppported by the CDC, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, The W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Kaiser Permanente, and the CDC Foundation, to identify a set of measures that can be used by local governments to assess promising policy and environmental change strategies for obesity prevention. The Nutrition and Obesity Policy Research and Evaluation Network (NOPREN) is currently assessing the nutrition strategies and the PAPRN will review the physical activity strategies. The PAPRN will work with NOPREN to develop consistent measures, then will work to analyze and disseminate the findings.
