Assessment of State Physical Activity and Obesity Practitioners

In order to facilitate research into practice, the PAPRN conducted a survey of state obesity and physical activity practitioners. The goal of this survey was to prioritize needs and identify ways to provide technical assistance to states in an effort to reduce obesity and physical inactivity. The survey was sent via CDC nutrition, obesity, and physical activity listserv to 306 practitioners, with 114 responding. Results show that there is a need for assistance with policy evluation and in communicating research to policy makers.
